Name of Post: Sub Lieutenant

Age Limit:22-27 years

Education Qualification:Regular, First Class Post Graduate Degree in Physical Education from a recognised University together with Diploma in Sports Coaching from National Institute of Sports or MSc in Sports. Candidates with M.Phil and Phd will be given priority during shortlisting for SSB.

Note:Candidates who have not completed their Post Graduation need not to apply, Their application will not be accepted.

THE INDIAN NAVY OFFERS YOU

Promotion & Pay Scale: Promotion from Sub Lieutenant to Commander is on time scale basis subject to fulfilment of requisite service conditions.

Pay Scale: PB3/15600-39100+ Grade Pay 5400/-/+MSP Rs 6000/-

Sports and Adventure: The Navy provides facilities to pursue any sport of your liking. In addition, one can learn and participate in adventure sports such as river rafting, mountaineering, hot air ballooning, hang gliding, wind surfing etc.

Physical Fitness: In Naval Academy curriculum, a lot of emphasis is laid on physical fitness. You are therefore, advised to remain fit by undertaking regular physical exercise in sports, running, swimming etc so that you meet the training goals successfully.

Cost to Company: The CTC for a Sub Lieutenant would be approximately Rs 66500/- per months. This includes Basic Pay, DA, Grade Pay, Military Pay, House Rent Allowance and Transport Allowance. These rates are subject to change.

Privileges: In addition to the CTC, Navy provides free Medical Facilities for self and dependents. Canteen Facilities, Entitiled Ration, Mess, Sports Facilities, Car/Housing Loans at subsidised rate.

Group Insurance and Gratuity: Insurance cover of 40 lakhs for Executive and Gratuity will be granted to the officer as per the latest rules in force.

Leave Entitlements: On Commission, officers are entitled to 60 days annual and 20 days casual leave every year. They are also entitled for 40% rail concession to any place and free travel for self and dependents. Leave during training period will be as per the Training policy in force.
