Recruitment of Officers in Indian Coast Guard 02/2012 Batch (Training Commencing July 2012), Ministry of Defence

(a):Name of Post: Assistant Commandant (Group "A" Gazetted Officer) (General Duty)
Pay Scale: Assistant Commandant Rs 15600-39100/- with Grade Pay Rs 5400/-. Total emoluments on joining Rs 4500/- per months. In addition to the pay, there will be Dearness Allowance, Kit Maintenance Allowance and Transport Allowance. Other allowances such as flying allowance, sea duty allowance adn island special duty allowance will be admissible based in nature of duty/place of posting.
Other Benefits to Officers from Coast Guard:1.Entitled rations, medical cover for self and family including dependent parents.
2.Government accommodation for self and family on nominal licence fee. 45 days Earned Leave adn 8 days Casual leave every year with Leave Travel Concession for self, family and dependent parents as per Govt rules.

Educational Qualification:Candidates should have Bachelor's degree with 60% marks in aggregate of a university recognized by the central/state Govt./UGC and minimum of 60% marks in maths and physics (aggregate of both subjects) of 12th class or equivalent.

(b):Name of Post: Assistant Commandant (Group "A" Gazetted Officer) (Technical Branch)
Gender: Men
Age Limit: 01 July 77 to 30 Jun 91 (both days inclusive)

Qualification: Candidates should have degree with 60% marks in aggregate in Electrical/Telecommunication and Electronic or equivalent qualification in any of the above discipline recognized by All Indian Council for Technical Education

He should have passed section: "A" and "B" of institute of Enginners (India) Examination in ay of the discipline above.
Pay Scale: Rs 15600-39100/-with Grade pay Rs 5400/-
Note: 5% relaxation in aggregate in the degree certificate only for NCC "C" certificate holders and sports person of National Level. No relexation of 12th class marks.

Travel Allowance:Second class train fare for SC/ST candidates who are not employed in the central/state Govt and if the home station is beyond 30 kms from the place of selection centre will be reimbursed.

Note:1.Terms and Conditions linked to the form will be displayed and must carefully be read, prior to submitting the form. The candidate will click on the "I Agree" button, and then, immediately the online Application Form will be displayed. The candidate should select the required branch as indicated para 2 above and fill all the particulars.


2.After the submitting the form an acknowledgement with a Registration number will be provided to the candidate along with date, time and venue of the examination. The filled Application Form, with the number generated will be available to the candidate to save and take a print. 


3.After submitting online application, candidates are required to print two copies of the application with number generated by the system. Both copies of the print out of application duly signed with phograph affixed is to be carried by the applicant to the testing centre. Out of the two copies one copy shall be enclosed with class 10th certificate/mark sheet showing date fo rbirth, 12th class certificate along with mark sheet showing subjects, Degree certificate/mark sheets duly attested by the Gazetted Officer shall also be carried by the candidate for submission at the time of Preliminary Selection. Any candidate who does not carry all these documents at the time of PSB shall not be permitted to appear in the exam.


4.Candidates must submit only one application. Receipt of multiple applications from the same candidate will result in cancellation of candidature.
