Name of Post: Airmen in Group "Y" Trades
Age Limit: Born between 27 Oct 1990 to 27 Mar, 1995 (both days inclusive)
Qualification: Candidates should have minimum Intermedidate/10+2 passed with Science, Arts, Commerce subject or equivalent vocational courses. Vocational courses conducted by CBSE and Kerala Board recognized by Association of Indian University only are eligible.
Sports Achievements: 1. Individual should have represented the country in Junior International meets in any of the above mentioned sports discipline.
2. Individual should have attained the standard of fifth place in the Junior National Championship or Inter-University Championship.
Pay Scale: During the training, a stipend of Rs 8,550/- per month will be paid. On completion of training, starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including DA will be 16,213/- per months. Other allowances such as Transport Allowances, Composite Personel Maintenance Allowance, Leave Ration Allowances, Fly allowance, HRA etc and also admissibel to Airmen.
Promotion: Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Master Warrant Officer. Opportunities to become Commissioned Officer also exist for those Airmen who qualify the prescribed examination, later during their service career.

Caution: The Selection test is not for selection as Officers/Pilot/Navigators. Selection in IAF is Fair and Free and on Merit only. At no stage any money is required to be paid to anyone for selection or recruitment in Air Force. Candidates should not fall prey to unscrupulous persons posing as recruitment agents.
