SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION IN REMOUNT VETERINARY CORPS ( THE INDIAN ARMY)

Applications are invited from qualified male veterinary graduates for Short Service Commission (SSC) in Remount Veterinary Corps of Indian Army.    

Name of Post: Captain (Gazetted Officer)
Training: Post Commission training at RVC Centre and College, Meerut Cantt.
Suitability for retention of Commission: If an Officer, is found unsuitable with 1 years of the Grant of Commission, his commission will be terminated at any time before the contractual period of services for 5 years.
Promotion: Promotion up the Rank of Major while in SSC and thereafter upto colonel is time bound.
Pay Scales and other Allownaces: Officers, on commissioning in the rank of Captain, are entitled to a basic pay of Rs 15,600/-, Grade Pay 6100/-, Military Service pay of Rs 6000/-, Non-Practice Allowance (NPA) @25% of basic pay in addition of Kit Maintenace Allowances (KMA) and Dearness Allownaces (DA) as admissible from time to time. Additional benefit like concessional Accommodation, free ration, free medical facilities, LTC, 60 DAYS Annual Leave, 20 days casual Leave.

Age Limit: 21-32 years.

Educational Qualification: BVSc/BVSc & AH degree from any of the recognized Indian Univeristy or its equivalent Foreign Degree.
